URBAN LAKES – Catfishing at Urban lakes continues to be good to excellent with fall stockings well underway.  Not much change in the top baits for channel cats: shrimp, stink baits and hot dogs.  Activity is best in the evening and early morning with cooler temperatures making the cats active during mid-day periods as well.

URBAN LAKES – Fish stocking of channel catfish resumed last week at all 20 Urban Fishing Program waters in the greater Phoenix and Tucson areas.  Over 14,000 pounds of 1.5 to 2 pound catfish were transported by our fish contractor all the way from Arkansas.

URBAN LAKES – Fishing for catfish should be good to excellent following the stockings this week. Expect the regular stockings to be 1.5-2 pound channel catfish into all 20 Urban Program lakes. Lakes will be stocked at rates of 35-70 catfish per acre every two weeks through early November.
