Havasu Take Off Point Closed for dock construction

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lake Havasu Field Office, working in cooperation with LaPaz County, will close Lake Havasu’s Take Off Point Recreation Site and Boat Launch beginning on Monday, Nov. 3, to begin a
major construction project.
La Paz County is the recipient of a State Lake Improvement Fund (SLIF) grant in support of construction at the site which will include a 30-foot
courtesy dock and a universally accessible dock, as well as an enlarged parking area.
All facilities at Take Off Point, including the boat launch and fishing piers, will be closed to the public during construction. Work at the site
is expected to be completed by the end of February 2009.
