Boat fished south side of lake, across from easternmost boat ramp. Cast brightly colored Rapala stick baits to shore, structure, weed lines then retrieving. Trolled lures behind boat when the wind came up. Lots of bait fish on the sonar. Witnessed large pike and walleye crashing bait fish on the surface 30 feet from shore. Rare sight for Lake Mary. Successfully caught a few fish this way. |

Catching rate at Upper Lake has been one quality northern or walleye per hour all year. Lots of feisty Pike and Walleye. Slows down when the water warms and the algae blooms this time of year. Picks up when fall approaches. Lake is close to home and seems to be improving…have fished the lake for almost 20 years now. Always by boat. Pike caught were 30 inches and 24 inches. Walleye were fat and in the two and three pound range. Thank you Lake Mary. Heading out again in the next couple of days weather permitting. |

ASHURST LAKE — The lake is full, the road is open. Stocked last week.
FRANCIS SHORT POND – A fish kill has occurred caused by a die off of an algal bloom which reduced oxygen levels in the water. Some fish survived the kill, but fishing will be tough until the lake gets stocked after water quality improves.
KINNIKINICK LAKE — Road Open. Stocked last week.
MARSHALL LAKE — Road Open.
OAK CREEK — Fishing is fair. A few small rainbow trout are being caught on flies. Scheduled to be stocked this week. A 10-year-old boy caught a 4.59-pound brown trout on the creek recently. Some pools have big brown surprises waiting for you.
