		<description>I&#039;ve always found it amazing how a single element, like precipitation, can have such an impact on a certain species.  My home state of NC generally has a very nice annual population of quail.  In the last 2 years, we&#039;ve experienced somewhat of a drought that made the shell of the quail eggs very brittle and prone to prematurely break. As a result, the quail population is forecasted to be at an all time low this season.</description>
