The Arizona Game and Fish Department has partnered with the Arizona NASA Educator Resource Center to host a FREE online educator workshop. You only need an internet connection and audio capability to participate.
What is the state mammal of Arizona? Do you know how it was chosen, or even who selected it? When did it become an official representative of the state? If you don't know the answers to these questions then consider joining the Arizona Game and Fish Department in this fun and informational workshop. We will focus on the living state symbols, including a brief history and trivia for each. We will showcase some unique lessons that use the state symbols to teach science and social studies concepts just in time for Arizona's centennial! Participants will receive a full-color poster and access to lots of free educational resources and activities.
To register, send an email to deveaus@erau.edu and let her know that you wish to register for the State Symbols online workshop scheduled for November 15. Registered participants will receive login instructions via email prior to each workshop and a certificate of participation following the workshop.
