The Phoenix Varmint Callers and Cabelas will host the 2011 Arizona State Varmint Calling Contest (calling to judges) on Saturday December 3rd. This contest is open to all Arizona residents and has a $10 participation fee. Start time is 1:00pm outside in front of Cabelas. What: Join birding expert John Higgins for a guided bird walk in Tucson Mountain Park. Spot canyon towhees, rufous-winged sparrows, Gila woodpeckers, and other birds of the desert southwest nestled among the saguaros and ironwood trees.
