The Arizona Game and Fish Department, Region IV (Yuma Region), will be holding an Angler’s Roundtable in Wickenburg, on April 10th, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The meeting location will be in the Banquet room of the Wickenburg Community Center, located at 160 N. Valentine Street, Wickenburg.
This roundtable will be an open forum format, so any fisheries topics that are brought up can and will be discussed. Region IV Fisheries Program staff and the local Wildlife Manager (Game Ranger) will be in attendance to answer questions.
We are looking to get input from anglers regarding the current slot regulation on largemouth bass. This input will be included in the analysis of the creel survey data that was recently completed at Alamo Lake. The Yuma Region is considering the removal of the restrictive regulation, and returning to the statewide limit for bass.
Fisheries regulation changes will be considered during the upcoming Commission Order 40 review in September, which will set fishing regulations for the 2013-2014 cycle.
