Mohave Sportsman Club’s 17th annual Adopt-a-Ranch clean-up project at the Boquil

Description: When: Saturday, June 6, 2009. 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Description: Each year the Mohave Sportsman Club holds a one-day clean up event on the sprawling 730,000-acre Boquillas Ranch. Additional volunteers are very welcome. Gloves, bags, maps, and tools will be provided. Participants will meet at Pica Camp at 8 a.m. and receive information/training from AGFD. Then volunteers use their own vehicles to disperse across the large ranch and search for litter while exploring the country. After spending the day in the field, bring your trash back to Pica Camp where it can be transferred to the AGFD trailer.
Along with cleaning the environment, this clean-up project will - 1.) help maintain public access on or across private property to public lands and 2.) help improve relations between landowners and the public.

Where: The meeting place (Pica Camp) is west of Seligman. Take State Route 66 to milepost 123.5, turn north through the gate and go two miles. Mohave Sportsman Club will be camping at Pine Canyon. If you would like to join us, go north from Pica Camp on Rhodes Canyon Road about 8 miles. Turn left and travel a couple of miles east to the camp.

**Note: Boquillas Ranch does not allow ATV’s.**
