The public is invited to a free lecture on Birding in the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador offered by the Sonoran Audubon Society at 7:00 PM on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Glendale Public Library auditorium, 5959 W. Brown (south of Peoria Ave.). Membership is not required. Refreshments will be served and there will be a free raffle. The speaker will be George Wall, current president and newsletter editor of the Sonoran Audubon Society. George only started birding in 1997 but since then he has become an avid worldwide bird watcher. He has traveled around the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Nicaragua, Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Australia. This lecture, with photographs, will focus on the unique ornithology of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. The Sonoran Audubon Society also offers frequent free bird walks.
