Thanks

No i'm not one of those guys that keeps smaller bass. I hadn't had fresh bass in 4 years since I left Georgia and that was the only reason I kept that one.

Yes it was last March when I caught these crappie. Looking forward to going again this spring if I can get time.

maybe its a missouri thang?

We dont keep any Large mouth bass unless its a trophy to be mounted. Large mouth bass are a sport fish.. I feel they should all be release unless you nail that whopper of a lifetime. In my eyes its insurance that our next generations will be able to have a shot at a nice trophy too. Makes me sick when I roll up on other fellow fisherman and they have a stringer full of large mouth bass. keep all that you want of crappie, catfish, stripers etc. they are for eating but large mouth are for catching and enjoying the moment and releasing.

Largemouth

I have eaten some mighty tasty largemouth bass, they are not just a sport fish. I think you should do whatever you want with your fish and everyone else will do whatever they want with their fish. There is a plentiful amount of largemouth bass in just about every body of water in Arizona, and just about the whole country for that matter. It is even worse that you will keep a fish to hang it on your wall, what a joke, way to respect the fish!

Bait used

I used a white 2" curl tail grub with a 1/16 ounce jig head for both the bass and the crappie. In the spring I catch more fish on this $0.25 lure than anything else.
