Silver Creek

all things considered, unless this fish was from out of state, it appears to be one of the incentive fish stocked into silver creeks "catch and release only section".

trout wont ever naturally grow that size in arizona but in a select few reservoirs, and even those areas recieve alot of pressure to the point where a fish that size is very unlikely. my assumption is that is a hatchery fish, and its size really only points to silver creek.

The comments here are funny

you know what they say about ASSUMING anything dont you. There are many places in AZ to catch large trout like this. offcourse the incentive stockies can be caught. i have caught many 6-7 lb trout here in AZ. several years ago we caught 6 each 4-7 lb range in Lower lake mmary when the water didnt dry up for a couple of years. Great catch I hope you were using light tackle. i see so many fisherman here in AZ using med to heavy tackle and if your drag doesnt run why would you want to rip the lips off the fish. Thats not skill. GO Light give the fish a chance. Like hunting with a Rifle what a sport... i will admit that Fishing in Az is tough i am from Florida if yiou want to eat some fresh fish its easy there. Nice catch tight lines
