It was a great hunt. This was on day 5 @ 3:15 PM of the junior hunt. The shot was taken from 115 yards and about 50' above. The animal was facing her and the only shot was a head shot. She placed it just in front of the left ear. Sometimes kids surprise you. I am very proud of my duaghter.
This was such a special time with her. Even if she doesn't remember it (but I think she will) I will remember it for a long time. Junior hunts are a great way to bring our children into our sport. A very special thank you to Shelby the local rancher who helped us locate the herd. We met new people, and saw great things including a Kit Fox and a large number of birds of prey. One who was eating his breakfast on a rock. Neat stuff.
