There are some birds nesting in my porch area. I knew that the babies would eventually fall because they built the nest on a very narrow part of the porch. I put a basket on the ground that I filled with shredded paper. Sure enough, one of the babies has fallen into the paper. He seems ok and I am trying to keep from helping the parents. The birds almost look like a cardinal except that they are all brown. The male has a crest on his head and a little bit of red on his cheeks. Can you tell me what to do? Should I take the little birds out and put them on the ground? They cannot fly yet although they have a few feathers.
