The Department has created a new speaker series open to the public with unique features for educators. Join us for these two-hour events. The first hour will be a talk from a Department biologist on a specific topic. The optional second hour will consist of educational activities ready to be taken back to the classroom. All teachers who attend both sections will receive great activities to take back to their classroom and a certificate for two hours of professional development.

Fall Dates and Topics:

  • Thursday, November 7 – Turkeys: Yes, we do have them in Arizona. Just in time for Thanksgiving, learn a little about this unusual bird.
  • Thursday, December 4 – Chiracahua Leopard Frogs – Help us wrap up the end of the Year of the Frog with a talk about this endangered species.

All speaker events are free and open to the public. However, we are asking for people to pre-register. Complete the registration form at http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pixviqYWWomW9RSALS-Hkbg
